The Grasshopper Inn is the perfect location for your special event. We can cater for private family celebrations, long boozy lunches with old friends, or weddings and corporate hospitality events. We have 6 unique spaces available for private hire. Many of the rooms have private entrances and bars offering guests the ultimate in privacy and seclusion. We can offer exclusive catering in private function rooms for groups of 20 people in the Churchill Room to up to 170 people sit down in the Tudor Ballroom. Our chefs will adapt to all food requirements, from snacks to lavish Tudor banquets.

Rib Room

Capacity: 80

Holding up to 40 guests for a formal dinner to  up to 80 guests for drinks and canapés, the rib room is one of our most popular rooms and perfect for all occasions. With reclaimed panelling from the houses of parliament and large oak windows with views of the surrey hills, the rib room is full of character. This room also works well when hired in conjunction with the gallery, making it suitable for larger parties. 

We can also provide all the necessary equipment including projection facilities, PA system, wireless internet and large conference tables making the room suitable for conference meetings, team building events or away days in conjunction with our partners. We also offer a bespoke menu service, allowing you to choose whatever you wish to compliment your event perfectly.

Rib Room Floor Plan

Tudor Hall

Capacity: 500

This is a beautiful space with completely private facilities. It is licensed for 500 guests and we can cater for 170 guests for a sit down meal. When hiring the Tudor Suite you will enjoy exclusive use of the large fully stocked bar, ballroom, cloakroom and rest rooms. It is also possible to hire the Rib Room and Hotel Rooms in conjunction with the Tudor Suite all of which can be entered directly from the Tudor Suite giving you full exclusivity of this entire area, making almost any event possible.

Tudor Suite Floor Plan

Churchill room

Capacity: 20

This is the oldest room, quirky with crooked walls, crooked doors and original beams. It is the perfect room for smaller gatherings, private dinners and meetings. Seating 22 boardroom style and up to 40 people standing for canapés and drinks the Churchill room also has its own private entrance, which opens out into the terrace garden. A perfect way to start your evening in the summer, drinks and canapés in the garden followed by a scrumptious 3 course sit down meal in your own private room.

Terraced Garden

Capacity: 80

This is our hidden gem. Secluded and set back, our south facing terraced garden is ideal for summer drinks and dining. Leading from the conservatory, the garden can be hired in part or exclusively with its own bar, hog roast and barbeque area. It is beautiful used simply as a backdrop for wedding photos, a pre dinner drinks area or maybe your own private BBQ and garden party.
